Freeland Lodge is a historical house in Observatory, Cape Town. Guests will find a flexible design that can accommodate a range of needs. It has nine large rooms, jacuzzi, braai/BBQ area, computers, wireless ADSL internet on a pay-as-you-go basis and laundry facilities. It is located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Observatory. The lodge is within a couple of blocks from grocery stores, restaurants, bars, pool hall, video store, doctor and pharmacy.

Observatory is a quaint Victorian styled suburb, rich in colour and diversity. It looks up on Table Mountain 's striking companion, Devil's Peak. Situated within 10 minutes drive of Cape Town city centre, Observatory provides the convenience of central location with the charm of the old Victorian architecture. Two prominent buildings dominate Observatory. One is the famous Groote Schuur Hospital where Dr Chris Barnard performed the world's first heart transplant. The other is the SA Astronomical Observatory for which the suburb is named.
